GQ Men of the Year

The GQ Men of the Year Awards in Australia is an annual event organised by GQ Australia to celebrate and honour men who have made significant achievements and contributions in various fields.

These fields include fashion, entertainment, sport, technology, and social causes. The event recognises individuals who have had a substantial impact on their industry and society over the past year.

The brief was simple: create an invitation for the annual event that was unique and unlike anything seen before. The challenge was to craft something extraordinary and memorable, an invitation that would set the tone for the prestigious occasion.

Logistically, the creation process took some time to perfect. Every detail had to be meticulously planned and executed to ensure the final product exceeded expectations. Once completed, the client's reaction was one of ecstatic delight, affirming that the effort had paid off.

The design we developed was truly distinctive. The invitation resembled a closed tuxedo jacket, complete with realistic pockets and a pocket square, which ingeniously held the invitation closed. To enhance the luxurious appearance, we applied a gloss spot varnish to the lapels, mimicking the look of satin. The finishing touch was the use of gold foil on the inside, adding an element of elegance and sophistication.

The result was an invitation that not only conveyed the exclusivity and high standards of the event but also left a lasting impression on recipients, perfectly embodying the spirit of innovation and luxury that the event represented.
