On September 27, 2020, Azerbaijan declared war on Artsakh, leading to the displacement of over 100,000 people who were left with nothing to survive on. In response, the Armenian Christian Mission (ACM) established the Artsakh Humanitarian Appeal to support these vulnerable and displaced refugee families from Artsakh. The appeal aims to provide essential assistance and resources to help them rebuild their lives amidst this crisis.
Charity Organisation
We were approached by the Armenian community in Sydney to assist with the redevelopment of the Armenian Christian Ministry (ACM) website. The primary objective was to enhance the site to promote fundraising efforts aimed at supporting displaced families in the Armenian region. This project was undertaken pro bono, reflecting our commitment to social responsibility and community support.
The revamped website needed to clearly showcase all the ministry areas that would benefit from the fundraising efforts. It was essential for visitors to understand the various ways their contributions could make a difference, from providing food and rent assistance to covering medical supplies, education, home care, and supporting local farmers to ensure food supply for the community.
In addition to presenting these ministry areas, we integrated a robust donation system. This system allowed for both one-off donations to specific ministry areas and a “Sponsor a Family” monthly donation program. The monthly donation option enabled donors to commit to a recurring contribution that directly supports a family, covering their essential needs and helping them rebuild their lives.
The "Sponsor a Family" program was particularly detailed, offering support for essentials such as food, rent, medical supplies, education, and home care. It also included assistance for farmers, enabling them to produce food for the community. This holistic approach ensured that the donations could be used efficiently and effectively, addressing the immediate and long-term needs of the displaced families.
Overall, the project aimed to create a user-friendly, informative, and engaging platform that not only raised funds but also fostered a deeper connection between the donors and the beneficiaries. By effectively communicating the impact of each donation, we hoped to inspire greater generosity and sustained support for the Armenian community in need.
